This is What Brought Me to You

I had a good job and financial security. I seemed to have it all. I was 42 years old at the time. Yet, in August of that same year, I wrote this in my journal:

“There is no purpose to my life. There is no joy in my life. I hide it well. It's not there for me…   not that anyone would understand”

How could they? Even I didn’t understand what I was feeling.

I’d had a successful career in the business world and later, an exciting life in the entertainment industry.

So, that entry in my diary disturbed me. It was extremely hard for me to explain.

After a lot of soul searching, I realized that I was moving from one success to another but something was always missing. I know it's a cliché. Still, I had no idea what that something was and I realized that I had no real direction.

My life long diet of self-help books and programs didn’t help. However, a series of events led me to solution focused coaching and then Transformational Coaching. Those two experiences changed my life.

The coaching stripped away the things that had been programmed into my thinking. That included things that I’d previously thought were important me and how I went about getting them.

Thinking more clearly now, I found what really mattered to me. I put my energy into those things and I’m now happy and fulfilled.

Do I still worry and stress at times? Of course. I’m only human. But, I don’t get stuck on things. I now understand a new way of thinking and have the skills to navigate around the hurdles that present themselves in my life.

With clear thinking and my new found growth mindset, I get around any roadblocks that present themselves in my life.

This is my story and what brought me here to you.

My purpose is to assist you to recognize the barriers that are holding you back and to help you reach your goals…   to realize that you have the power and ability to reach your full potential.
