Creating A Growth Mindset
Much of what we think and how we behave, we learn from our past experiences.
As a survival strategy, our brain assesses, categorizes and stores its interpretation of our many experiences in the subconscious for instant, auto retrieval.
Emotions are a fundamental component of the brain’s interpretation of an event.
The more intense the emotion during the event, the more influence it has on the brain’s interpretation of the experience.
These include a state of mind arising from fear, anxiety, frustration, failure, and rejection to name a few.
When a new situation occurs, our subconscious searches through its existing catalogue of comparable events to formulate a response to the new event.
The subconscious mind then meaningfully influences our conscious thought, often producing a programmed attitude and similar response to past situations – even where a different behavior might produce an entirely different outcome.
This loop like, limited thinking can be paralyzing. It can cause tunnel vision and inertia. It can obscure options and create a failure rich environment.
Freeing the subconscious of its predisposed influence, lets you think more objectively – more clearly.
Clear Thinking produces a Growth Mindset. Free, unobstructed, conscious thinking generates new insights and genuine opportunities to advance in areas of our lives where previously we’ve been stuck.
This is how changing how you think… changes your life.
